Belgian IBAN Generator - Generate fictional Belgian IBAN numbers
Generate valid fictional Belgian IBAN numbers (BE) with modulo 97 validation. Select a Belgian bank and generate in bulk.
Note:All generated data is entirely fictional and not suitable for use as real personal information.
Belgian IBAN structure
A Belgian IBAN is 16 characters long and follows the format BEcc BBBA AAAA AAKK: country code BE, 2 check digits, a 3-digit bank code, a 7-digit account number and 2 national check digits. Belgian IBANs are shorter than most European IBANs due to Belgium's legacy 12-digit account number format.
Belgian banking landscape
Belgium has a concentrated banking sector dominated by four major banks: KBC Bank (the largest by assets), BNP Paribas Fortis, Belfius (state-owned after the nationalization of Dexia) and ING Belgium. The Belgian financial regulator is the FSMA (Financial Services and Markets Authority).
SEPA and Benelux payments
Belgium is a founding member of the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) zone. Belgian IBANs are used for both domestic and cross-border euro transfers. For developers testing Benelux or international payment flows, fictional Belgian IBANs allow safe integration testing without exposing real account data. They are particularly useful for testing e-commerce platforms serving the Belgian market and for validating SEPA Credit Transfer and Direct Debit processing.
Testing with Belgian test data
Combine fictional Belgian IBANs with other Belgian test data for complete test profiles: use Belgian addresses with the correct 4-digit postal code format and Belgian company identifiers (BCE/KBO numbers) from the company ID generator. All generated data is entirely fictional and safe for use in development and staging environments.
